You will spend far more on the car if you are looking for an unmolested one by the time you put all the stuff you want on there. I bought a 1990 TT in 2004 with a little less miles....could not leave it alone, so I spent about 5k in tires, KYBs, Eibachs, camber kit, upper control arms, test pipes, and down pipes. Last year, I spent another $14k on engine with ported heads, larger cams, turbos, down pipes, manifolds, test pipes, x pipe, larger Intercoolers, hard intake pipes(full set), new dual pops, 2nd mag, selin, another chip, etc, etc, etc. Now pump gas is no longer good enough and I am having to consider an E85 conversion....another $2k! Buy the one with the mods on it. It is much like buying a car with a couple of years on it or a house that has a pool. The person who made the initial investment looses their a$$ and you get the benefit:)
